NOTICE TO PATIENTS
As our community continues to adjust due to the impacts of COVID-19, Ozark Dermatology wants to communicate our plans as the health and safety of our patients and staff are the primary concern of our office.
During this time, we will continue to serve our community, but are exercising additional precautions and will monitor and implement the recommendations of the CDC, Arkansas Department of Health and local government agencies with the latest information regarding COVID-19.
NOW OFFERING TELEMEDICINE VISITS
The diagnosis and treatment of many dermatologic conditions from acne and rashes to eczema, psoriasis and more may be accomplished through telemedicine visits. These visits are as easy as a provider texting a link to a patient’s mobile phone. Once the link is clicked, patients provide their name, click to enable their phone camera and they are placed into a video conference with their provider. It’s that easy and it’s a great alternative for patients with higher risk factors for coronavirus to access necessary care without coming into our offices.
IN OFFICE VISITS
Symptom-free patients are encouraged to keep their appointments if possible.
To continue to protect the health of others while in our office, we are implementing the following steps:
1. Be prepared to have your temperature taken.
2. Please attend your appointment alone, unless you are a minor child or adult deemed unable to make medical decisions.
3. Please avoiding handshakes/unnecessary contact, and keeping 6-foot distances from other patients and staff when possible.
4. Please practice universal precautions of washing/sanitizing hands, and covering your cough with disposable tissues.
Please reschedule your appointment if you have:
1. Experienced fever or flu-like symptoms in the last 2 weeks.
2. Been exposed to anyone with flu-like symptoms.
3. Traveled outside the US in the last 30 days.
To protect our patients, employees have been told not to report to the office if ill and we are regularly monitoring our employees for fever and illness. Additionally, we have modified our attendance policy to support our employees and their families throughout this challenge. It is our goal to provide the very best environment for the safety of both our patients and employees and we appreciate your cooperation. Please call our office at 479-443-5100 to reschedule as necessary.
Thank you,
Ozark Dermatology Team
