What is Dermapen Microneedling?

DermaPen is an automated device with a disposable tip cartridge that uses 12 micro-needles to vertically stamp the skin at high speed. The stamping action creates micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating new collagen production. The purpose of this treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face, neck and chest to treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. Our microneedling treatments are combined with Biopelle Tensage Growth Factor serum. The micro-injury created by the DermaPen allows the growth factor to penetrate more deeply to promote rapid healing. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to allow for a very comfortable procedure. Makeup can be applied within 24 hours.

How many numbers of treatments does one need?

The number of treatments is predicated on two things: the first being the results you want to achieve, and the second being which part of the body treatment is being performed on. For wrinkles or stretch marks, depending on the severity, you may need 4 to 8 microneedling treatments to achieve optimal results. All treatments are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart to ensure the health and safety of your skin. The risk involved in microneedling treatments are minimal. After a treatment, dry skin or redness may occur, which will typically subside within a few days to a week.

What is the outcome of Dermapen treatments?

Microneedling will reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scarring, sun damage, improves the skin tone and texture, and give you plumper and smoother skin. As the treatment improves your skin’s ability to self-repair by producing new collagen and elastin, you will see the exceptional results with minimal downtime. You will have firmer and more youthful skin with this safe, chemical free treatment. Microneedling is a great option for patients who want to reverse the sign of aging but don’t want to use chemical peels or want to avoid invasive treatments.
